How We Help
5 Step Support Program
Our unique 5 Step Support Program aims to provide a comprehensive plan to support people who are looking for work or who have recently been made redundant. We tailor all our services to fit a persons’ needs. Depending on needs, each stage usually consists of multiple sessions, focussing on the various elements of the job search process detailed below:
Stage 1 – Initial Assessment
- A initial needs assessment to understand more about the direction the person is looking to go
- Career counselling and analysis about what this direction might be – this can help to uncover passions, strengths, goals and needs
- Questioning to see what job opportunities may be suitable for the persons’ personal circumstances – part time / full time etc.
Stage 2 – Getting a strong CV
- A review of the current CV, or the creation of one if needed
- Making sure all relevant details are included – this can also include tailoring CV’s for particular roles
- Assistance with writing cover letters or other supporting documentation
Stage 3 – The Job Search Process
- Job search training – where to look, who to speak with, creating a job pipeline etc.
- In the case of outplacement services – pro-active marketing to identify opportunities
- Making yourself ‘findable’ – LinkedIn profile, Seek Profile, networking etc.
Stage 4 – Interview Preparation
- Comprehensive interview preparation – from the point of being invited to an interview, till the moment you walk out of the door
- This can include role plays and discussions about how to answer specific types of questions
